Lego

The Lego box says: Age 6-12. That doesn't seem to slow him down, much.

Scenes from Michigan

We made a last-minute airplane trip to Michigan during Thanksgiving week. Rye had a ball on the airplane, despite the 3:00 a.m. wakeup call. Needless to say his sleep schedule was off the whole week.

A new backpack filled with activities was a highlight of the trip.

So was riding on the shuttle train! And we're not even out of Romulus yet!

 Detroit Zoo—highly recommend!

Thanksgiving Day Parade with PERFECT weather. It was 48˚ !!

Rye practices his serious look. We are bracing ourselves for middle school already.

Auntie Kris really knows how to goof around.

Ypsilanti Firetruck Museum—Highly recommend!

Brayer art

Rye had a ball painting with a brayer (roller). It was his idea — he specifically asked for the tools and materials and described exactly how he was going to use them.

I just gave him a squirt or two of tempera paint and he went to town.
