Zimmer Children's Museum

We finally made it to the Zimmer Children's Museum on the very last day of our Living Social coupon. It's a cute little museum and great fun! Everything is hands on—a real ambulance to play in, a real rubber raft with life jackets, a killer water table and much more. We invited Myra Jean and her mommy, and we all enjoyed the morning.

Rye pushes on the perch to encourage the birdie to lean toward the window.

Cookin' up some pepper soup in the restaurant.

Twenty-five pennies, at least 20 minutes of fun. How's that for a bargain?!

Light table and shaving cream

Uncle Bill's light panel got a workout this week. Mommy created a play area with glass bubbles, yellow and blue food coloring, plastic tiles and shaving cream. Rye had been asking for something "new" to play with, and he was not disappointed.

At first, he was hesitant to get sticky and only would put one hand into the cream. But that did not last long. Before long Mr. Sensory Sensitive was elbow-deep in the blue shaving cream, and asking for salt to explore.

Daddy noted at bedtime that Rye's "clean-shaven" odor was a little intense.

Third haircut!

The clippers were very ticklish!

Big boy in a booster.

The cut at SuperCuts was only $14, which is the best I've been able to find so far when Miss Cathy is booked up. She charges $12, and I think gives a better cut, but since her salon is near Grandma and Grandpa's house, coordinating an appointment is a little trickier.

Shades of Calvin

Rye loves the massive Lego Duplo collection his cousins handed-down to him for Christmas...but he's also gotten almost as much enjoyment out of the box they came in!

Beach Vaca

We took a long weekend up north to visit Korlandia, with some ranch walks, a trip to see the San Simeon elephant seals, and a beach day for the kiddos. Not a lot of photos, but here are some highlights....
